AmeriCorps - Caring Corps Program

The Caring Corps is the Ministry of Caring’s AmeriCorps program, based in Wilmington, Delaware, through which individuals will be recruited to meet the needs of the poor and homeless. As a member of The Caring Corps, you will be working directly with Ministry of Caring clients and will be able to bring positive change to those most in need.

Members of The Caring Corps will complete 1,700 hours of service and will serve at least 40 hours per week for approximately eleven months.

To be an AmeriCorps member in The Caring Corps, individuals must be at least 17 years of age with a high school diploma, its equivalent, or be working toward a diploma or its equivalent when beginning service. Individuals must be a U.S. citizen.

Members of The Caring Corps will receive a living allowance of $11,100 during their year of service and health benefits. Upon completion of their 1,700 hours of service, members will receive an education grant of $4,725 that can be used towards qualified existing or future student loans.

Income eligible full-time members may be qualified to receive full child care benefits at the daycare provider of their choosing.
