Stay up to date with events, news, and opportunities by signing up for the Ministry of Caring's quarterly newsletter.
It began decades ago, when staff and supporters of our Emmanuel Dining Room started giving little gifts to homeless children.
With the help of generous donors, we have provided gifts to uncounted thousands of children, many from the general public.
Our program now focuses on brightening the holidays for the very poorest of the poor. This means donations to Adopt-A-Child
will be used to help provide gifts and care support for children who are in our programs, such as our homeless shelters for
women with children.
To meet this need, we no longer accept public registration for Adopt-A-Child, instead helping those we know to be most needy.
Our plan is to provide the parent(s) or guardian a $100 gift card so they can choose their children’s gifts, select their favorite
color of pajamas and make sure the winter coat fits.
We ask donors to please consider making donations in increments of $100, each of which will add one child to the gift list.
But donations of any size are deeply appreciated and will brighten the holidays for innocent little ones who otherwise
would go without.
Donate via mail by sending checks, payable to: The Ministry of Caring Inc.
