The Ministry of Caring, a non-profit agency serving the poor and homeless in Wilmington, DE, seeks a full-time dentist for its Pierre Toussaint Dental Office (PTDO) located on Wilmington’s East side. The Ministry of Caring operates on the deeply held belief that the poor should not be treated poorly, but with dignity and respect. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to our mission by providing compassionate dental care to our patients.

For several decades, the PTDO has been providing full dental services to low income adults, many of whom are experiencing homelessness. While the PTDO exists to provide comprehensive dental evaluation and treatment, it does so much more. Every day, its staff helps to restore lives that have been broken by poverty and despair.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. It does not require on-call, weekend, or evening hours. In addition to the satisfaction to be gained by providing compassionate care to the poor, the Ministry of Caring offers an outstanding benefits package including medical, vision, and dental insurance along with employer-paid life, long term disability, and pension; and, generous paid time off including 3 weeks of paid vacation, 12 sick and emergency days, and 11 paid holidays annually.
