Emmanuel Dining Room COVID-19 relief

The Ministry of Caring, Inc., is first and foremost, a community-based
organization, as it has been since 1977. We remain fully committed to our mission to
feed the hungry and homeless, to support those in need, and to lift up low-income and
no-income individuals.

To further our mission and to remain true to our core values:
that the poor should never be treated poorly, we depend on the support of our friends,
donors, and champions in the community.

To donate masks:

We need donations of disposable face masks for homeless, the poor,
and the newly unemployed men and women – and their children –
who are coming to Emmanuel Dining Room for free takeout meals
during the coronavirus pandemic.

Many are elderly, suffer chronic medical issues, or have no money
to buy masks to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

“They don’t have washing machines, so we need disposable masks only,”
says ReeNee LaFate, Emmanuel Dining Room Program Director for
The Ministry of Caring.

We’ll give them out as we distribute 500 to 600 takeout meals daily –
no requirements, no questions asked – at Emmanuel Dining Room’s
three sites in Wilmington and New Castle County.

Can you help, please?

Mask donations are welcomed at Emmanuel Dining Room West,
121 North Jackson Street in Wilmington 19801 – the corner of
Second and Jackson streets near I-95. Please include a note or
sticker with your name and contact information so that we can
thank you.

Daily drop-off times are 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.,
skipping midday as we give out food at that time.
